AMC-8 SALEM - ABC-NY STARGUIDE RECEIVER,
Wed, June 30 through Friday, July 2 and Monday, July 5 – 9a-10a
ET
AMC-3 SR1 – WEGENER UNITY RECEIVER
In the program you will hear:
• What our founding fathers saw as their duty to help build
our new nation. There is an important piece of our Declaration
of Independence that many Americans have failed to notice. That
is - what our real DUTY is as Americans.
• The story of Caesar Rodney, one patriot who has been overlooked
in our history. He is perhaps the most important single individual
in getting that Declaration signed. His story is both powerful
and compelling.
• Other stories of little known characters in our U.S. history,
like the teenage girl who rode all that fateful night warning
that “the British were coming!” You will also hear the story
of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the DUTY today of those
who guard it.
• The story of one young patriot, Nate, a 19 year old school
teacher who joined up to fight in the Revolutionary War and
just what happened when he was captured and prepared to be hanged
for doing his DUTY.
• Finally, the chilling, almost prophetic words of Thomas Jefferson
– words given as a warning to all Americans – a warning that
if we do not heed – we are doomed to lose our America.
It will be a program full of great stories to help your listeners
fully enjoy the
Holiday, while reminding them of their own “American Duty”.

AMC-3 SR4 (Stereo) - UNITY 4000 RECIEVER
Don Johnson, Producer/Host of Afterglow syndicated to stations
worldwide and distributed over Salem Radio Network’s satellite,
has created a fresh patriotic production that will be appreciated
by your listeners.
“Let Freedom Ring” is the theme of this 50 minute music special.
The program is divided into three segments with a combined listening
time of 50 minutes. Segment 1 is 22 minutes, Segment 2 is 18
minutes and Segment 3 is 10 minutes.
Segment 1
Voices of Freedom open with a lively rendition of “America The
Beautiful.” The Don Marsh Orchestra follows with an upbeat version
of
“Stars and Striper Forever” medley. Chip Davis’ Mannheim Steamroller
presents America’s national anthem, “The Star Spangled Banner”
underneath the story of the writing of this stirring song. The
Derric Johnson Singers follow with the lyrics to this Celebration
song. C.W. McCall narrates “The American Spirit” backed up by
Mannheim Steamroller. Irving Berlin’s creation of “God Bless
America” is narrated over Anthony Burger’s instrumental treatment
of this patriotic tune. Earnestine Dillard, joined by the Oklahoma
City Philharmonic Orchestra, offers the “God Bless America”
lyrics with one of the most amazing arrangements. Her vocal
range is so expansive you have to hear it to believe it.
Segment 2:
“The Battle Hymn Of The Republic” opens the 2nd segment of this
July
4th Special, presented first instrumentally by Anthony Burger
and then vocally from the America’s Favorite Patriotic Songs
CD. Outstanding voice over artist, Tom Dooley, tells the remarkable
story the Booth brothers, one who led the assassination of President
Lincoln and the other who rescued Lincoln’s son from death at
a railway station. The narration of Lincoln’s April 30, 1863
Proclamation performed by David Brown leads to “The Price of
Freedom” closing of segment two of this special.
Segment 3:
Deeply moving both in its presentation and its lyrics “Let Freedom
Ring” by the Gaither Vocal Band should cause listeners to stand
up and shout. Andrea Crouch’s “Through It All” with pianist
Burger brings this 50 minute special to a stirring close.
It can also be downloaded from SRN’s FTP site: ftp.srnprograms.com/ministries/afterglow.
It is also available on CD.
Include this remarkable production in your station’s July 4th
Celebration.
